The fabulous mural at Masonic and Haight…

The fabulous mural at Masonic and Haight, south-west side, is by Lango. He said, “I don’t care what people think.” Buster the Broom thinks it too violent, what with the sword and her claws and his imagined sybolism. True, the bare-bosomed, skull wearing Griffin-woman may bring a blush to the Pope’s maiden-aunt, but we need a well-conceived Harpy here to protect us from evil. She pairs nicely with the more prosaic hippie trappings across the street.
